Slayter Student Union is an informal gathering place for students, faculty, and staff where a variety of programs and activities including films, lectures, workshops, small concerts and artistic performances are presented throughout the year. The union serves as the hub of the campus providing services that include a campus information desk, student mail and package distribution. In addition, the union houses several campus organization offices and the campus organization development and resource center.

Programming areas for the union include several meeting rooms, a small conference room, a dance floor with a D.J. booth, several lounge areas, and a 300-seat auditorium with a state-of-the-art projection system.

Food service available in Slayter Union includes Garden Gourmet Salad Bar, Grill 155, Sandella's Flatbread Cafe, Sushi with Gusto, and Simply to Go C-Store as well as the Roost located on the 3rd floor of Slayter Union. **All events occurring outside of the academic year (including all official university breaks) are scheduled through the Campus Services Office (Ext. 6727) and are subject to additional regulations and/or fees.

Campus organizations and other groups reserving any spaces on campus are responsible for cleaning and resetting spaces to their original condition upon conclusion of their event (e.g. picking up trash, returning furniture to its original location, etc). Failure to do so may result in the revocation of the privilege of reserving space.

Transportation

Denison students have the opportunity to travel away from campus for movies, dining, shopping, travel and more, using one of two campus-run shuttle services provided by the Campus Services Office support staff. The Big Red Express provides service for students to Columbus and surrounding areas every Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. The Big Red Airport shuttle is operated on a fixed schedule basis associated with holiday break periods.To use either shuttle service, you must pre-register for a seat. This service is provided for Denison University students only.
