Assessment & Reporting
Assessment and reporting are key elements of Denison’s Campus Sustainabilty Plan 2012 [pdf]. The Campus Sustainability Committee in conjunction with the Office of Sustainability writes an annual sustainability report that details the current state of sustainability on campus.

In 2007 a group of Environmental Studies students conducted an initial Campus Sustainabilty Audit of the college as part of a class project. In many ways, this audit has served the college as an initial baseline assessment of campus sustainability and pushed the college to begin addressing issues relating to sustainability and environmental impacts.
In addition to our own sustainability reporting, Denison also participates in the Sustainability Tracking Assessment & Rating System (STARS). This comprehensive tool allows the college to not only self-evaluate its sustainability initiatives, but it also serves as a benchmarking tool to compare Denison with other colleges and universities across the country.
