Hidden in plain sight (UPDATED)

The scenery is obviously pretty great around here. You’ve seen the view across the Welsh Hills. You’ve chilled with the deer along the drag. You probably have a favorite old building–or a favorite new one.

But most of us cruise right past the details. So we decided to post a photo of one of Denison’s little gems, just to provide some inspiration for all of us to take a closer look around.

While we’re at it, we’ll make this a quiz. First one to get it right receives a seriously nice prize.

This gator (or maybe it’s a croc) has lived on campus for years.

But where?

Post your answers in the comments section below.

UPDATE (11:30 AM, March 24): Ding ding ding! We have a winner—Jerome Price ’12 nailed it within minutes of our posting the photo, correctly identifying the location as the Doane Administration Building. Jerome wins a copy of Denison, a coffee-table book that documents the college’s rich history through rare archival photographs. Jerome, please stop by University Communications on the 4th floor of the Burton D. Morgan Center to claim your prize. Congrats!

(Below, you can see the gator in its natural habitat)
