In this issue …

The Denison Magazine staff is putting the last-minute touches on the next issue, which should be arriving in mailboxes by month’s end. The December issue is full of some of the cool things happening at Denison and beyond, including a profile of a horse named Lylle (pronounced “Lily”), a good friend of the equestrian team; a replay of the women’s field hockey season, which was one of the most successful in the school’s history; a look at a piece from Denison Museum’s latest exhibition; thoughts on the cultural impact of the decline of the U.S. Postal Service; advice from a mom (who is also a author and comic with a Ph.D. in clinical psychology) about gearing up for the college search; and a peek at the campus’ intellectual theme for 2011-12: Migrations. And there’s plenty more where all of that came from. Keep an eye out for the next issue, and let them know what you think by sending a Letter to the Editor.

How about some photos and a story on the musical productions on campus. “Einstien and the Roosevelts” was wonderful and written by very prestigious artists-inresidence and directed by a DU alimni. Also the “Mystery of Edwin Drood” fetured some outstanding talent. Let’s give these excellent performances as much “air time” as the athletics! They certainly represent hard work, committment and talent.
