Knight class

DEN SHOTS:

Before playing in a fun-filled, high-energy Vail Series performance in Swasey Chapel Wednesday evening, a few members of The Knights orchestra stopped by Herrick Hall to spend time with students. During the hour-long master class, three different ensembles heard tips and advice from the New York based musicians. At one point, conductor Eric Jacobsen (above) stood in front of the string section and suggested they try a technique together. He proceeded to pantomime bow movement as they played to bring out the sound he was looking for.
