School’s (almost) out for summer
Every year at about this time, there’s a bit of a shift in the atmosphere. Today is the last day of classes, and for the rest of this week and next, students take all that learning they did throughout the semester and apply it to final exams, papers, and projects. So instead of seeing them rush from class to class, you’re more likely to see sleepy students hunkered down over laptops writing or studying, perfecting the last strokes on a final art project, or in the lab wrapping up their work. At the end of next week, it’ll all be over, and the students will be off on other adventures. The seniors will start preparing for graduation (May 13) and life after Denison. The rest of the students will head home for the summer or embark on summer internships. Some will hang out on the Hill and continue their studies through summer research projects. Our advice to them? Don’t forget to rest, because on August 27 at 8:30 a.m., it’ll start all over again.
