Columbus in color

If you’re planning a stay at the new Hilton in downtown Columbus anytime soon, be sure to look up when checking in. There, above the front desk, you’ll find a new work called “Skyline” by Christian Faur, Denison’s director of collaborative technologies for the fine arts. The best part about it? The image of Columbus is made entirely from the colorful tips of crayons, made by Faur himself in his home studio.

We covered Faur in Denison Magazine back in 2011 in our article, “The Maker,” but the “making” itself is really a sight to see. Here’s a look at how it’s done.
