The British are coming

Last Friday, conductor Keith Lockhart and the legendary BBC Concert Orchestra take the stage at Swasey Chapel. The Vail Series concert begins at 8 p.m. — you won’t want to miss a minute of this stellar group of 75 musicians, collaborating on the music from some of the best English composers. Tickets are still available for students, faculty and staff, and a limited number of tickets may be on sale to the public for $15 at the door. Check out vailseries.org for more details.

For more than 30 years the Vail Series has been bringing extraordinary musical and cultural events to Denison–more than 100 musicians like Joshua Bell, Renee Fleming, Mark O’Connor, Itzhak Perlman, Wynton Marsalis, Leontyne Price, Emanuel Ax and Dizzy Gillespie have performed at Swasey.

And mark your calendars for the final Vail concert of the year, featuring the incomparable soprano voice of Jessye Norman, on Sunday, April 7.
