Lauding leadership

Every year, Denison recognizes a group of graduating seniors who have demonstrated exemplary leadership and service to the college through their involvement in student
organizations, in co-curricular activities, on the residential education staff, and as scholars, artists and athletes.

At a reception on Thursday, February 28, in the Welsh Hills Room of the Burton D. Morgan Center, 27 members of the Class of 2013 were recognized for their leadership and their involvement with the life of the college and the community.

“For this award, it is important that we make the distinction between the great gifts of involvement and committed care for our community, and leadership of the kind that changes us forevermore,” said Laurel Kennedy, vice president of student development. “This is a very high bar.”
