Home sweet home

The Reunion Crew is ready and waiting for the more than 1,000 guests who will be visiting campus this weekend.

Members of the Class of 1963 have started to arrive on campus to celebrate their Golden 50th Reunion over the next few days. They’ll be doing a little golfing today at the Granville Golf Course, touring campus, meeting up with President Dale Knobel and Mrs. Knobel for a reception at Monomoy Place, and partying into the night with dinner and dancing in Curtis.

Tomorrow will bring members from the Class of 2008 (celebrating their 5th) back through the Class of 1938 (celebrating their 75th) for more fun, including food and drink on the Reese~Shackelford Common, walks through the BioReserve, the Parade of Classes, and the Alumni Convocation.

For those looking to continue their Denison education, there will be Alumni College sessions taught by faculty, staff, and in one case, students, covering everything from the Arab uprisings to Avenue Q. On Saturday morning, President Knobel will give his final State of the College Address before his retirement on June 30.

And, of course, there will be more food, dancing, and live music come Saturday.

Welcome back. We’re thrilled to have you home.

Follow all the fun on Twitter at #DUReunion13 and check back throughout the weekend for photos on Denison’s Flickr site. Additional Reunion Weekend information can be found at DenisonEverywhere.com.
