It’s that time of year when things start to feel all warm and fuzzy — after the stress of finals and papers, of course. Denison and the Granville area actually have been getting into the spirit for most of December with concerts at Swasey Chapel and Monomoy Place, with visits from Santa, cookie and tree decorating, and a latke festival. (We didn’t hear of any ugly sweater contests on campus, but that doesn’t mean that one or two didn’t take place in a residence hall or a staff holiday party somewhere along the way.)
It’s all calmed down a bit now that most of the students have headed home for a nice long winter break, and since most of the college will close until Jan. 2. (The Annual Fund office will remain open, of course, just in case there’s one last gift you would like to give in the 2013 tax year.)
As our gift to you, and in memory of Diana Jones, owner of the Granville Carriage Company who recently passed away, we offer this video of the sights and sounds of the holidays.
Enjoy your families, enjoy the peace and quiet of the season, and we’ll see you in 2014.
