&lt;p&gt;Class co-presidents: Kasey Hoare (B.A., French) from Crofton, Md., and Shawn Whites (B.A., English) from Galion, Ohio&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;President’s medalists: Abdi Ali (B.A., history) from East Boston, Mass.; Hannah Frank (B.A., educational studies and English) from Granville, Ohio; Shiyu Huang (B.A., economics) from Chongqing, China; Nathaniel Kell (B.A., mathematics and B.S., computer science) from Upper Arlington, Ohio; Kate Kloster (B.A., economics) from Saint Louis, Mo.; Sara Livingston (B.A., Spanish and sociology/anthropology) from Erie, Pa.; and Cullen Marshall (B.S., biochemistry) from Louisville, Ky.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Valedictorians: Ashley Heestand (B.A., English and French) from Lexington, Ohio, and Katharine Waggoner (B.A., history) from Maumee, Ohio&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Salutatorian: Nathaniel Kell&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Fanfare for the Class of 2013, a composition written in 2009 by Associate Director of Music Ching-chu Hu, was played at the start of the ceremony. The piece had last been performed at the Induction of the class, just four years ago.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;551 of degrees were awarded, with seven students earning BS/BA combined/dual degrees, and one with a triple major&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Latin honors were awarded to 112 graduates: 51 cum laude, 45 magna cum laude, and 16 summa cum laude.  &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;49 senior honors projects were given special recognition. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;$8,314: the senior class gift, the second largest in Denison history, to the Denison Annual Fund.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The ceremony honored the memory of deceased classmates Elizabeth Minter and Sarah Starner.&lt;/p&gt;</denison:aside>
