Come visit us at our 147-acre property and enjoy the rolling hills and woods, trails and fields, streams, the pond, the birds and wildlife,and our beautiful cottage.
On our property, we enjoy the natural beauty all year. The pond is great for swimming (we have a rope swing tied to a large oak tree), fishing, and ice skating. Trails and field lanes cross the 147 acres and we enjoy hiking year round, and our encounters with birds and animals, especially deers and wild turkeys. Five years ago we planted 1500 tree seedlings (red oak, green ash, and white pine) on a 3-acre section of a field. We also tend to an orchard we planted (cherry, apple, and plum trees) and a huge blueberry patch and a grape arbor. Perennial beds and a beautiful rock garden in front of the house provide great pleasure, along with the Ohio native wildflowers in abundance. The various sections of mature woods have a great variety of hardwoods and pines. The cottage is a great place to relax in all seasons- the screened porch in summer and next to a huge fireplace in the winter. When our friends and family visit, we have room to comfortably sleep 8 or 10 people. The cottage is located about 1/8 mile up a winding, tree-lined lane from the paved road that curves along our property- it's a beautiful and private, and very special property for people who enjoy nature at its best!
