The Art History and Visual Culture Program held its 30th Annual Senior Symposium on Saturday, April 13, 2019, in Bryant Arts Center. The event was attended by the department’s faculty, staff, senior and junior majors, and several friends and family members. The junior majors, AHVC Class of 2020, gave presentations of their possible research topics. The presenters from the class of 2020 included Noah Anderson, “Croton, Ohio: Past, Present and Future,” Catherine Kosior, “The Wedding Dress: Fashion, Consumerism, and Identity,” Scotia McMullen, “Martin Puryear: Ladder for Booker T. Washington (1966) and Sanctuary (1982),” Rachel Weaver, “Joseph Kosuth: One and Three Chairs,” and Chen Yang, “Women in Pants.”

At the conclusion of the event, several members of the Class of 2020 presented photographs of their recent trip to New York City. The trip, led by Dr. Joy Sperling, included visits to several galleries and museums.
