The publication “Onstage” has just released a list of ten sometimes overlooked colleges with great theatre programs — and Denison is third on the list.
Here's what they had to say: “Denison University's theatre program is a perfect example of what we call a 'playground program,' meaning that it is designed in a way that every type of theatre student has something to 'play with' when they arrive there. When it comes to their B.A in Theatre degree, you're receiving a well versed and detailed education not only in theatre but also liberal arts.
“When it comes to facilities, Denison has two primary theatre spaces: the Leroy 'Ace' Morgan Theatre, a 200-seat proscenium house, and the 3600-square-foot Burke Black Box Theatre. They also have a fully-equipped 1800-square-foot scene shop.
Alumni include Carl Moellenberg, Hal Holbrook, Jennifer Garner and Steve Carell.
