Aug-O staff, Community Advisors, and the Men’s Football Team will be on hand to help move your belongings into your residence hall. You will sign up for an official move-in time slot over the summer.

Resource Fair and Check-In
Check into your orientation, then meet representatives from offices around campus and learn about all of the resources available to you

Off-Campus Orientation Experience Meet-Ups
You and your family will be introduced to the faculty, staff, student leaders, and fellow first-years who will be traveling with you during your Off-Campus Orientation Experience.

3-4:30pm

Welcome to Denison
Join us for programming in the afternoon, where you will get to know more of your fellow students.

5-6 pm

Dinner

Assembly of Incoming Students
First-year students will assemble at Swasey Chapel to prepare for their Induction Ceremony.

International Students

International students arrive on campus before new student orientation. Staff from the Center for Global Programs help you settle into your residence hall, open a bank account, apply for cell phone services, explore campus, and learn about the Granville and Columbus communities, before taking part in new student orientation with your classmates.

  • Sunday, Aug. 18: English for Academic Purposes (EAP) Program Arrival
  • Monday, Aug. 19: International Student Arrival
  • Tuesday, Aug. 20: Global Ambassadors assist with navigating campus, opening bank accounts, shopping for supplies, and connecting with your international peers
  • Wednesday, Aug. 21: Required immigration session followed move-in day programming and the Induction Ceremony

Early Arrival Athletes and Exordium

Members of football, volleyball, soccer, field hockey, cross country teams, and the Exordium cohort will participate with their peers in designated experiences. These students gain the same benefits as those in other off-campus orientations. They will join the on-campus orientation with their full class cohort. Fall early arrival athletes will be contacted by their coaches with move-in details.
