CIO Named “Tech Power Player”

ComSpark.tech has recognized Denison University Chief Information Officer Dena Speranza as a 2018 Tech Power Player. The comSpark Tech Power Player Award celebrates the leadership of executives in both public and privately-held companies, as well as leading non-profits and government institutions. Speranza will be honored for her leadership at an event on Tuesday, Nov. 13. Speranza has served as Denison’s CIO since 2015.

Denison Vice President for Finance and Management David English noted, “Dena’s technical knowledge is superb. She and her IT team support the wide range of technology needs for our faculty and students. This is absolutely critical in a higher education setting. I am thrilled she is being recognized for her terrific work.”

Speranza said, “The opportunity to work with student and faculty clients is challenging and rewarding. It’s quite fascinating to facilitate classroom learning that links across continents, detailed assignments and communication between faculty and students, and manage data security issues and innovative solutions for the campus. I am honored to be chosen for this recognition.”
