The Center for Belonging and Inclusion welcomes LGBTQIA+ communities to The Hill. Our staff and community partnerships are energized by providing equitable support, resources, and programming to embrace student identities at every intersection. We want you to know that #YouBelongHere.

Join us on the fourth floor of Slayter Union and find a safe and welcoming place to engage in community, advocacy, partnership, and student-centered learning.

The Hill is better and we are stronger, because you’re here!

Outlook

Outlook is a student organization committed to educating the campus about LGBTQIA2S+ issues. Outlook offers support to those who need it, and creates a safe and social space where students can embrace and explore their sexuality and gender expression.

Through engaging speakers, open dialogue, interactive events, educational resources, and social activism Outlook strives to encourage and promote a more diverse and educated environment on and off campus. For more information, please email outlook@denison.edu.

Ally Education

Denison’s ally education program, Safe Zone, is a campus-wide program designed to educate students, faculty, and staff on LGBTQ identities and experiences. During a Safe Zone workshop, participants will learn language that relates to the LGBTQ community, identify some of the issues facing LGBTQ individuals on campus, and develop skills for being an ally to LGBTQ people.

If you’re a student, staff or faculty member interested in becoming a Safe Zone facilitator, please contact us at safezone@denison.edu for more information.
